Barcelona
Take the train from the station at nearby Flaçà, and you can soon be in the centre of the most exciting city in Europe - Barcelona. Amongst the many attractions of this city you will find Gaudi's impressive Sagrada Familia.

Old Pals
At the top of the hill, overlooking Platja de Pals, is the medieval town of Old Pals. Cobbled streets, lovely craft shops and cafés. This is well worth a visit or two.

Motor Sports
The Formula1 Spanish Grand Prix is based at the Circuit de Catalunya to the north side of Barcelona and drive of about 90kms / 60 mls on motorway. The grand prix in 2008 is on April 27th. For info see www.formula1.com and look at the Spanish grand prix info.
Skiing
The Pyrenees can be reached by car within 2 hours (150km/90mls).
The Vall de Nuria near Ribes de Fraser provides ski facilities in a spectacular environement on the tops of the Pyrenees, accessed by a unique cog railway from Ribes or Queralbs. The location is 3000m / 9000ft above sea level and full info is available on their website.
